This article focuses on two water-based photoinitiators 819DW and 2959, analyzes their performance characteristics and excellent performance in the field of water-based UV, and provides a reference for the application of green chemical materials.
With the growing strictness of global environmental protection regulations and the development of green chemistry, traditional solvent-based UV-curable materials are gradually being replaced by water-based systems. Water-based photocurable products are composed of water-based oligomers and water-based photoinitiators. It requires that water-based photoinitiators have good compatibility with water-based oligomers, high photoactivity in an aqueous medium, high initiation efficiency, as well as low volatility, being non-toxic, colorless, and odorless.
